Buddy Hield (2012-16), Second Team Guard

Buddy Hield is the only current Oklahoma Sooner player to make the four-deep All-Time OU basketball team. The 6-4 senior guard from the Bahamas led the Big 12 in scoring in 2014-15 and was voted Big 12 Player of the Year. In the early going of the 2015-16 season, Hield leads the conference again in scoring, averaging 20.8 points through six games in leading the Sooners to a top-10 ranking nationally.

Early in the 2015-16 season, Hield ranks in the top five in the Big 12 in free-throw percentage, made three-point field-goals and three-point percentage, in addition to leading the conference in scoring.

Hield averaged 16.5 points as a sophomore and 17.4 last season to go along with five rebounds per game. He considered leaving early for the NBA, but elected instead to return to school for his senior year, which immediately set up the Sooners as a serious contender for the Big 12 championship in 2015-16.

More from All-Time Basketball Lists

Hield was a principal reason Oklahoma not only made its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season and 29th all-time, but advanced to the round of 16.

The best player on a very good Oklahoma team this season, Hield began his final year ranked 16th on the all-time Big 12 scoring list and is sure to move into the top 10 and even into the top five by season end. Some have called him one of the greatest Sooner players of all time, which puts him in some pretty outstanding company.
