With an inexperienced receiving corps, has any receivers stood out to you this off-season?
Trevor Knight: All those guys have. They’ve come in, especially the freshmen, and really worked super hard. That’s a testament to our older guys bringing them in under their wing. A couple of him our really going to have a chance to step in and get some playing time.
Now that the NCAA allows mandatory summer workouts, has there been any change in what you guys do as opposed to last season?
Knight: It hasn’t changed much, we’re still doing same things. The coaches are just there. We continue to work the same way we have before, but right now the coaches are peeking in on us and give us a little insight here and there. Which is good for us, but the same type of stuff.
Do you feel there’s any added pressure now to win the Big 12 with the media overwhelmingly picking OU to win the conference?
Knight: I don’t think so. That’s our expectation every single year. Whether or not we live up to it, that’s up to us. But we gotta come in to work every single day like that is what we’re going to do and play well week in and week out.
Any thoughts on the new uniforms?
Knight: I like it. I think it’s cool to have an alternate uniform that not only spices it up a little bit, but also brings out the history. It spices it up for recruiting, bringing out the wood grain, and the schooners, and the boomers and all that good stuff. They’re pretty cool.
Do you have a favorite combo?
Knight: Probably either red-on-red or cream with red pants.
