There will be no spring football game for the Oklahoma Sooners this year, instead, it will be the first-ever Crimson Combine.
OU announced last month that it was following the recent college football trend of canceling its annual spring game and replacing it with the Crimson Combine, a "new fan-centric football event" that will feature players and coaches participating in combine-style drills, skills challenges, on-field fan engagement activities, autograph and photo opportunities, and more.
There's still a lot of unknown among Sooner Nation about the event, but with the Crimson Combine now less than a week away on Saturday, more details were recently released. Here's everything to expect from the Crimson Combine and the full schedule of events.

Crimson Combine
The Crimson Combine will be a skills showcase and position drills for each position group. During this time, new general manager Jim Nagy and OU coaches will give insight and analysis for those in attendance.
OU's release also mentioned that this time will include "interactive fan contests and challenges."
Party in the Palace
The Party in the Palace could be Sooner Nation's best opportunity all year to meet OU players and coaches for autographs and pictures. Fans are allowed to bring one item each to have autographed.
When the Crimson Combine ends, players will sign autographs on the south end of Owen Field. On the north end during this time, there will be inflatables, a Jordan Brand shoe box retail shop and beer garden. The Sooner Schooner, Big Red Rocket and trophies will also be on display for fans to take pictures with.
The Party in the Palace will last about an hour, so choose carefully what's worth your time.
What else to know
A pass will be required to park in the Heisman, East Suite, Field House and Monnett lots. Other than that, all lots and garages will be open to the public.
Gates will open at noon. Fans can enter through Gates 2, 7 and 12.
Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will still have its usual clear-bag policy, other than allowing fans one item to be autographed.
After the event, the OU baseball team is scheduled to host Vanderbilt for a top-25 SEC matchup.
