Not many athletes win a Super Bowl, and even fewer get a Jordan Brand ad in their honor.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night in New Orleans. He was then named Super Bowl MVP thanks to a spectacular performance.
After the confetti fell and while the Eagles were still celebrating, Jordan Brand released an ad to recognize Hurts, who is a Jordan Brand athlete.

Hurts did an incredible job repping the Jordan Brand on Super Bowl Sunday, even before kickoff. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He also rushed for a team-high 72 yards on 11 carries with another score.
But even before the game, Hurts was already drawing attention to the Jordan Brand. During warmups, Hurts wore special red and black “Bred” Air Jordan 1 cleats with the Swoosh covered. It was an ode to the famous story of Michael Jordan debuting his red and black Air Jordan 1 shoes even though they were "banned" by the NBA and Nike had to pay a fine.

Jordan Brand also paid a fine for Hurts earlier this season when he wore mismatched cleats.

That was ultimately a setup for Hurts being featured in Jordan Brand's new "Ban Greatness" ad campaign.

Nike originally took a chance on Michael Jordan, who obviously became a legend worthy of his own brand, so of course the quarterback that Jordan Brand went all in on would end the season as Super Bowl MVP.
