Wait, does Sooner Nation have faith in Porter Moser again?

The Oklahoma Sooners have won back-to-back huge games and still have NCAA Tournament chances.

A fan could be very wealthy if they could have bought stock in Porter Moser a month ago at an all-time low.

Less than a month ago, the Oklahoma Sooners had lost to the lowly LSU Tigers 82-79 at Lloyd Noble Center. It was only LSU's second SEC win and the Tigers got to Norman on a seven-game losing streak. Yet, the Sooners still couldn't end their own three-game losing streak, even with a five-point lead with 30 second left.

Leading up to the game, the Sooners had been blown out three games in a row to ranked opponents with an average of defeat of 23.3 points. A few days after that LSU loss, the Sooners were blown out by Florida in Gainesville, 85-63.

It felt like a new low for OU's men's basketball program, and was certainly the hottest Porter Moser's seat had ever been anywhere.

A chunk of Sooner Nation was tired of the Moser era before the season even tipped off. Nearly the entire fan base was on board with moving on only a few weeks into SEC play. But after that LSU loss, Sooner Nation didn't even want another day of Moser leading the program.

With the season considered a wash and the Moser era presumably over, Moser's squad kept competing. The Sooners upset then-No. 21 Mississippi State. They lost to then-No. 17 Kentucky by one. Ole Miss beat them with a late 3-pointer.

Then, all of a sudden, like Bitcoin during a pandemic, Moser's stock skyrocketed with his team's NCAA Tournament chances. The Sooners took down No. 15 Missouri 96-84 on Wednesday night to restore some hope during the last week of the regular season.

On Saturday, with OU listed as the last team into the NCAA Tournament field, the Sooners beat rival Texas 76-72 in Austin without their starting big man. It was the first time Moser had ever led OU to a victory over its most-hated rival. The win also turned the Sooners' NCAA Tournament dreams into reality, another place Moser has never led the Sooners to.

So a month after not wanting another day of Porter Moser, it seems faith has been restored and Sooner Nation is contempt with another year of Moser.
