How far are you willing to bet the Oklahoma men's basketball team will go?
FanDuel recently updated some of its college basketball odds, and the Sooners have all kinds of odds for just about every scenario as of Friday.
Step 1 is just making the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners were a 10 seed and one of the last four teams to get a first-round bye in Joe Lunardi's latest ESPN Bracketology.
Vegas gives Porter Moser's team pretty solid odds as a team on the bubble. FanDuel listed only 13 teams available to bet on making the NCAA Tournament, including OU. Of the group, the Sooners have the second-best odds at -250 behind Georgia at -440.
FanDuel has OU, Georgia, San Diego State, Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh, Ohio State and North Carolina as bubble teams favored to get in once March arrives.
If you just have zero faith in Moser and expect his trend of missing the NCAA Tournament to continue for the fourth straight season, then the Sooners' odds of staying home are +185.
Once the Sooners get to the NCAA Tournament, odds obviously drastically inflate, but could also win a lot of money if you're chugging the crimson Kool-Aid. OU's Final Four odds are +8500, and its odds for winning the whole thing are +25000.
OU's championship odds are there with Texas, Ohio State, Villanova, Cincinnati and Nebraska.
The OU women's basketball team also has odds to win a national title, and they're much better for the No. 15 Sooners. OU's championship odds are +7000, which are tied for the ninth-best available odds with Duke, Ohio State and TCU.
The OU men also have odds to win the regular-season conference championship in their first season in the SEC. The Sooners, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Vanderbilt, Texas and South Carolina all have +25000 odds. I'm not here to give gambling advice, but putting money on a team that started conference play 0-4 like the Sooners did would be like lighting money on fire.
The Sooners got this week off before heading to Fayetteville to play Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. CT Saturday. The Razorbacks are 12-7 and coming off a 68-65 win against Georgia on Wednesday.
