A pair of Oklahoma women's basketball players made history after being named All-SEC on Tuesday.
OU junior center Raegan Beers was on the All-SEC First-Team, while senior guard Payton Verhulst earned second-team honors. The teams are voted on by the 16 SEC coaches.
With it being the Sooners' first season in the conference, Beers and Verhulst became the first players in program history to garner All-SEC honors.

This was not only Beers' first season competing in the SEC, but first year with the Sooners after transferring from Oregon State, where she spent her first two seasons and already had two All-Pac-12 honors. Beers has led the Sooners in scoring her entire first season in Norman, averaging 17.6 points and 8.9 rebounds a game.
Beers has been exceptionally hot down the stretch, posting 22, 16, 30 and 30 points in OU's last four outings the past two weeks, which earned her SEC Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks.
Verhulst also came on late while averaging 15.3 points this season. She has scored double figures in 10 straight games to close out the regular season. Verhulst is also the only player in the country to average at least 15 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in under 30 minutes a contest.
Next, the Sooners start March Madness as the fifth seed in the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, which tips off Wednesday. OU earned a first-round bye so will play the winner of No. 12 Georgia and No. 13 Arkansas on Thursday. The Sooners have already beaten both teams this season.
