Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who was heralded the next great college quarterback and future No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick all offseason, has been so bad through two weeks that people watching assume there must be something wrong with the prodigy. It turns out he might just have to use the bathroom.

Videos and pictures of Manning grimacing in what looked like pain circulated on Saturday during the Longhorns' win over San Jose State. Like local media should about a star player, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian was asked during his weekly press conference if Manning was injured based on the faces he made. But, instead of just saying no and moving on, Sarkisian used the most off-the-wall reasoning.

“I’ve never filmed any of you guys when you’re using the restroom. So, I don’t know what faces you make when you’re doing that," Sarkisian said before smirking like he was proud of his witty comment.

Social media had fun roasting the Texas coach about his bathroom quote

This dialogue almost looks even more preposterous when written out.

The final comment was out of nowhere and no one can figure out how it even related unless Manning is using the bathroom out there on the field. He did look like he was peeing his pants in Week 1 against Ohio State, though.

For more reference, here are some of the clips that sparked all this. Someone also pointed Manning has just always made an ugly face during games, which is part of his genetics.

If Manning is healthy or if that's just the common face he makes, just say that. That's it, then it'll be over. Instead, Sarkisian went off script and his comments obviously went viral for the wrong reasons as college football fans roasted him.

And for Sooner Nation, it's worth keeping these jokes in mind and even bookmarking some of these posts, because you could need them for signs if ESPN College GameDay is in Dallas for the Red River Rivalry.
