Sooners land commitment from 4-star, 6-11 center for 2025

Oklahoma has picked up a commitment from four-star, 6-foot, 11-inch center Kai Rogers for 2025.
Rogers is rated as a top-100 national prospect, the No. 68 overall recruit in the class and No. 8 center, according according to 247Sports.
Rogers becomes the third commitment in Oklahoma's 2025 class, which is ranked 19th in the 247Sports class rankings.
A Wisconsin native, Rogers attended high school in Milwaukee and now competes for Overtime Elite in Atlanta in the Georgia-based Under Armour Next circuit for 16- through 20-year olds. He announced his commitment on Friday from his high school, Wauwatosa West, on Friday. He averaged 15.8 points and 10.1 rebounds as a high school junior last season. He is averaging 16 points and seven rebounds in the UAA Georgia circuit this season.
Rogers chose Oklahoma over finalists SMU and Iowa State, but he also reportedly held offers from Purdue, Wisconsin and others. He is the second big man to commit to Porter Moser and OU in the 2025 class. Andreas Holtst, a 7-foot center from Denmark, committed to the Sooners last month. OU also has a commitment for 2025 from 6-foot, 6-inch, four-star small forward Alec Blair from Concord, California.
Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports posted this scouting report on Rogers:
"Kai Rogers was one of the most productive big men in the UAA this year. He is a true post with good size, extremely long arms (7-foot-4 wingspan) and a big body. He plays primarily with his back to the basket but has soft hands and touch to eventually diversify his attack."
The Oklahoma men open the 2024-25 season on Nov. 4 against Lindenwood at 8 p.m. at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
