However, with South Carolina next on Tuesday, the Sooners would be at the bottom next week with a fifth loss in a row at the hands of the Gamecocks.
A 78-68 win over LSU has South Carolina avoiding the basement of the SEC, but that's the Gamecocks' lone conference win so far. If the Gamecocks beat Oklahoma on Tuesday, then they'll at least assert themselves as the best of the worst in the SEC.
That loss to South Carolina was the deal-breaker in LSU getting the last spot. However, the Tigers just beat Missouri for their first SEC win after starting 0-4, so maybe a lift from the bottom is ahead.
