We're still over a month from action in college football, so for now we have to settle for talk.
SEC Media Days is set for this week at the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Hotel during the midst of MLB All-Star Week in Atlanta, Georgia. The four-day event will start Monday before concluding on Thursday.
Each day will feature four different teams from the 16-team conference, with head coaches taking the stage each day and each team's representing players also doing interviews.
For the Oklahoma Sooners, quarterback John Mateer, defensive end R Mason Thomas and safety Robert Spears-Jennings will join head coach Brent Venables in Atlanta. Former OU quarterback Jackson Arnold will also be there for the second years in a row, but this time representing the Auburn Tigers.
Outside of SEC coaches and players, commissioner Greg Sankey will also speak at 8:05 a.m. CT Monday to kick off media days. SEC coordinator of officials John McDaid will also speak at 8:05 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
Every coach that takes the podium during SEC Media Days will be televised on SEC Network. There will also be coverage on SEC Network+ throughout the week.
