After a quiet first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft with only one pick so far, Day 3 will be busy for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Edge rusher R Mason Thomas became the only Sooner to hear their name called so far in this draft when the Kansas City Chiefs took him Friday night with the 40th overall pick in the second round. OU fans could have slept through the rest of the second round and entire third round as hopeful Day 2 prospects like defensive tackle Gracen Halton and wide receiver Deion Burks are still available with every other prospect from OU.

Gracen Halton and Deion Burks among OU prospects still on the board for the final day of the NFL Draft

The 2026 NFL Draft is still at least already less disappointing for the Sooners than last year, when only two OU players were selected in linebacker Danny Stutsman and safety Billy Bowman Jr. only a few picks apart in the fourth round as no Sooner went until the final day. It was the first time since 2002 that OU didn't have at least three players selected in a draft.

The Sooners should still be able to start a new such streak this year. Halton and Burks are basically guaranteed to get drafted to put the Sooners at three total. Both had upside of going as high as the second round, but no franchise felt either were worthy to reach for, so both are still surprisingly available on the final day.

Other OU prospects include edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr., linebacker Kendal Daniels, defensive tackle Damonic Williams, safety Robert Spears-Jennings, tight end Jaren Kanak, offensive lineman Febechi Nwaiwu and running back Jaydn Ott. All, though, are considered late-round fliers in the seventh, so several could still end up as undrafted free agents.

Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft starts with the fourth round at 11 a.m. CT on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
