Ford signed with the Sooners out of Pineville, LA (Pineville) with the class of 2017. During his career in Norman, Ford played in 29 games and started 21. He finished his career being named an Academic All-Big 12 honoree, First team All-Big 12, and Third team All-American following the 2018 season. He was also a critical member of the Sooners offensive line that won the coveted Joe Moore Award following the 2018 season.

Aside from the legendary offensive lineman Trent Williams, Cody Ford is known as, perhaps, the most violent and aggressive offensive lineman in Oklahoma football history. Following his college career, Ford was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft. Ford has solidified himself as a mainstay, now, on the Cincinatti Bengals offensive line.
