Oklahoma men's basketball followed up a week of back-to-back road losses with a pair of wins this past week and reversed course in the latest Associated Press rankings. The OU men are up four spots this week to No. 11.
The Sooners are 13th in the Coaches Poll and are one of seven Big 12 teams in the top-25 nationally this week. This is the ninth consecutive week Oklahoma has been ranked in one or both national polls this season.
Houston is the highest-ranked Big 12 team at No. 4 in both polls, Kansas is No. 7 in the AP poll this week and No. 8 in the Coaches Poll after losing at West Virginia on Saturday. Baylor dropped several spots to No. 14 in the Coaches Poll and No. 15 in the AP after losing by one point at unranked Texas.
Texas Tech (20 AP/21 Coaches), BYU (21/19) and Iowa State 23/18) round out the Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25.
UConn and Purdue remain in the top spot in both national polls this week. North Carolina, Houston round out the top five.
There are four Big 12 games this week in which both teams are ranked, and Oklahoma is in one of them. The Sooners (15-3) play at home twice this week: vs. Texas on Tuesday and hosting No. 20 Texas Tech on Saturday.
No. 4 Houston is at No. 21 BYU on Tuesday, and No. 7 Kansas plays at No. 23 Iowa State on Saturday.
