Baseball is another sport in which the SEC excels. It is also a sport that the Sooners have had historical success in. Just two seasons ago, Oklahoma and Ole Miss played for the national championship in the College World Series. The Rebels came out on top, defeating OU two games to none in the 2022 championship series.

In terms of national championships, five current SEC teams, including Oklahoma, own at least two College World Series titles. LSU leads all teams with seven, Texas is next with six and OU, Vanderbilt and South Carolina have two apiece. Eight SEC teams, including OU (No. 18) finished in D1Baseball Top 25 this season.
