Oklahoma and Texas are moving the Red River Rivalry to the SEC, but there are a few other teams that the Sooners don't want to see in their new league.

Yes, Nick Saban is gone, but that doesn’t mean Alabama won’t still be a powerhouse program. The Crimson Tide are perennial contenders and Kalen DeBoer will keep them in the conversation for a College Football Playoff and SEC title nearly every year. Alabama is synonymous with the SEC, but it’d be nice if the Sooners didn’t have to play them regularly. 

There’s another reason why OU fans would not want to see Alabama, and it might become a trend throughout this exercise, the Sooners couldn’t beat the Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff. 

Lincoln Riley’s teams could never compete against SEC competition and he proved that for the second straight year in the 2018 Orange Bowl, falling to Saban’s Crimson Tide 45-34.
