The Oklahoma women's basketball team is on the rise again.

The Sooners were ranked 13th in the latest Associated Press Top 25 that was released Monday. OU moved up two spots from its No. 15 spot last week, jumping Maryland and North Carolina.

OU moved up after thumping Georgia 86-55 on Sunday in Norman. It was the Sooners' only action of the week with no midweek game.

The win was a rebound after losing to No. 2 South Carolina 101-60 last week. OU also beat Missouri 80-63 that week, but the loss to the Gamecocks was still enough to knock the Sooners down to No. 15.

The Sooners get two chances against top-15 squads this week, and a three-game winning streak should get them inside the top 10 again, especially if it included victories over LSU and Kentucky. First, OU will travel to take on the No. 7 Tigers at 6 p.m. CT Thursday.

On Sunday, the Sooners will host the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats at 3 p.m. CT at Lloyd Noble Center for OU's Pink Game.

A 2-0 week over a pair of top-15 opponents would skyrocket the Sooners' stock. They didn't budge at all in the NET Rankings after the win against Georgia, still firmly at No. 17. But two Quadrant 1 wins would put OU at least inside the top 15 of the NET Rankings by next Monday.

There will also be plenty more opportunity for the Sooners to tally Quadrant 1 wins and improve their future NCAA Tournament seeding, as the SEC had eight teams included in the most recent AP Top 25.
