It doesn't matter what happened last week at the Cotton Bowl, there's no time to enjoy anything in the SEC.

The Oklahoma Sooners just took down then-No. 1 Texas in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday. In their game before that, OU was dominated by Georgia, which now sits at the top of all national rankings. Next, the Sooners have No. 15 Kentucky on Saturday in Norman. This is life in the SEC.

Here's everything you need to know for OU's Week 7 matchup with the Wildcats:

Weather forecast in Norman, Oklahoma

We're finally getting the football weather we've been wanting in Oklahoma. The high temperature for Norman on Saturday is 62 degrees, with a low of 43. Hello, Fall! Fans will need a jacket for the late kick.

All-time series between Oklahoma and Kentucky

There's not much history between these teams on the gridiron. This will be only their third meeting, with OU holding a 2-1 lead in the all-time series. They haven't played against each other since 1982, making for a rare conference matchup in their first clash as members of the SEC.

Oklahoma vs. Kentucky key storylines

1. Will there be an emotional drop-off for the Sooners?

The Sooners are riding high right now after not only upsetting their biggest rival, Texas, in the Red River Rivalry, but also dethroning them from the No. 1 ranking in college football.

The hope would be that momentum turns the Sooners' season around at 3-2, but that hasn't been the trend this season throughout the SEC. Teams keep crashing and burning this year right after pulling off monumental wins. OU can't also fall victim to a letdown the next week.

The Sooners' recent history can also be a warning to not get ahead of themselves, even after beating No. 1 Texas. In 2023, OU also handed Texas its first loss, but then the Sooners lost two of their next three games, which ruined their chances of playing in their final Big 12 Championship Game.

2. Does Vegas know what the Sooners are capable of?

Vegas oddsmakers tend not to overreact to the result of one game, but despite OU being unranked and taking on a top-15 team, FanDuel still has the Sooners as 6.5-point favorites over Kentucky this week.

The Wildcats are rolling right now with four victories in a row, including an overtime win over then-No. 10 LSU last week. Meanwhile, the Sooners had dropped two of their last three games before upsetting Texas. Yet, Vegas still has more faith in OU in this one.

The Sooners no doubt get a bump with it being a night game at home, but an unranked team being a touchdown favorite over a top-15 squad still shows a lot of confidence in OU from Vegas, which is usually pretty spot on.

3. Is that second half what we'll keep seeing from the Sooners?

The Red River Rivalry was a tale of two halves, with the Sooners somewhat having most of their problems solved in the second half against Texas, which ultimately led to the upset.

OU's struggling offensive line kept quarterback John Mateer upright and also paved the way for a functioning run game, despite facing maybe the best defensive front it will all season. Mateer was also turnover-free, and even in clutch time, offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle still managed to take some pressure off Mateer.

If we get those second-half Sooners the rest of the season, they won't only win on Saturday, but be dangerous against any team they play.
