It was a weekend of wins for the Oklahoma Sooners.

After beating LSU 17-13 on Saturday in Norman to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff, even more victories followed for the No. 8 Sooners on the recruiting trail, particularly for their 2027 class that’s already one of the best in the county.

Tra'Von Hall and Krew Jones commit to Sooners' No. 1 class

First, as the team was still celebrating the victory over LSU on Saturday night, four-star edge rusher Krew Jones committed to the Sooners. According to the 247Sports Composite, Jones, listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 233 pounds, is the No. 19 edge rusher in the 2027 class and second-best overall player in the state of Utah out of Ridgeline High School. He's also the No. 149 overall prospect in the country.

Then, on Sunday, the Sooners also landed a commitment from wide receiver Tra’Von Hall to their 2027 class. Hall was in Norman over the weekend for the Sooners’ massive win.

Hall, listed at 6-foot, is currently unrated and unranked by every major recruiting outlet, but college coaches and scouts are apparently seeing something in Hall that recruiting services haven’t noticed yet. That will surely change, though, the next time recruiting rankings are updated.

Just since June, Hall has picked up Power Four offers from OU, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Colorado. He also held offers from Tulane, Troy, Liberty, Memphis and more.

Coaches are intrigued by Hall’s versatility as an offensive weapon. He can line up at any receiver position, and also has the ability to run the ball and return on special teams. Hall also shows off his blocking in his highlight videos.

As a junior at Central High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, this season, Hall caught 25 passes for 355 yards, averaging 14.2 a catch, and two touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 41 times for 519 yards and nine scores.

Hall was the second receiver added to the Sooners’ 2027 class after four-star Demare Dezeurn. He was the ninth overall commit, and after the two more additions this past weekend, the Sooners’ 2027 ranks No. 1 in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite team rankings, as of Monday.
