The Oklahoma Sooners could be days away from yet another massive 2027 pickup.

Four-star defensive lineman Elija Harmon on Thursday revealed his top 5 and also announced a specific time he'll make his decision. The Sooners were included in Harmon's top 5, along with Texas A&M, Oregon, Nebraska and USC with a chance to beat out two old Big 12 rivals and a former coach. Harmon will announce his decision at 3 p.m. CT Sunday, shortly after the Sooners learn their ranking and matchup for the College Football Playoff.

Elija Harmon includes Oklahoma in top 5

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Harmon is the No. 25 defensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He also had offers from Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and more.

The Sooners extended their offer to Harmon on May 16, and he's visited Oklahoma twice since during the season. He was in Norman for the Sooners' Week 2 win over Michigan and last week when OU beat LSU to clinch a playoff spot. One trip to Texas A&M is the only other reported visit he's made.

Harmon, from Inglewood, California, would grow the Sooners' newfound pipeline from The Golden State and Lincoln Riley's backyard. He's the No. 21 overall prospect in the state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Sooners already have two 2027 commits from the state in wide receiver Demare Dezeurn and running back Jaxsen Stokes. They also had three Californians in the 2026 class that just signed. Both 2027 commits are also top 40 overall prospects in the state.

The Sooners' 2027 class is already No. 1 in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Teams Rankings, with 10 early commitments.
