Oklahoma offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh landed not just one top 2027 target, but two within minutes of each other on Thursday morning.

The two highest-rated 2027 recruits in the state of Oklahoma will be Sooners, largely thanks to Bedenbaugh and his reputation. First, five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett flipped his commitment from Texas Tech to OU, and even admitted to Rivals' Steve Wiltfong that he took less money to be a Sooner because of his belief to one day get to the NFL playing for Bedenbaugh.

Hackett, from Fort Gibson High School, is the No. 1 overall prospect in the state and No. 10 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. He's the No. 3 offensive tackle in the class.

Kaeden Penny, from Bixby High School, is the second-best prospect in the state and No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the class. Penny is also on the cusp of being a five-star recruit and could be by the time he signs next year.

Both prospects were in Norman when the Sooners beat Michigan and Auburn this season before both committing together before it was even 9 a.m. in Oklahoma on Thursday. The two massive additions jumped the Sooners to have the No. 3 2027 recruiting class in the country so far, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Of the Sooners' four early 2027 commits, three are offensive linemen that Bedenbaugh landed. Three-star offensive tackle Luke Wilson was the first commit from the 2027 class last month.

Sooner Nation celebrates Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny's commitments

The Sooners' recruiting staff was already giddy Wednesday night while knowing what news was coming the next morning.

Then once the news actually broke Thursday morning, Bedenbaugh was the man of the hour for Sooner Nation.
