It wasn't all disappointment in Oklahoma over Halloween weekend, like that which took place during the Sooners' 42-25 loss to South Carolina on the football field.
A weekly staple at Stormin' In Norman, here's news you might have missed about your Sooners over the weekend, with an emphasis on non-revenue sports that might get overlooked, especially in the midst of football season and with basketball also taking even more of a spotlight soon.
OU wrestling shuts out NSU in season opener
The Sooners started their season, and Northeastern State's time as a program, with a 46-0 OU win.
OU hosted NSU at McCasland Field House on Sunday for the Riverhawks' first-ever dual after starting up a wrestling program this year at the Division II level. Obviously, not much stock can be put on the Sooners blowing away a brand-new program, but it was still a solid season debut while avoiding upsets and notching lots of bonus points.
The Sooners put up bonus points in seven of their 10 wins, including falls by Rafael Hipolito Jr. (157) and Bradley Hill (285). Hill's pin happened in just 51 seconds.

OU will get a tougher challenge on Sunday, with a trip to Northern Colorado. The competition will then get as challenging as it can get the next week, when the Sooners host Penn State on Nov. 15 at Lloyd Noble Center.

Keeley Parks to miss entire season with injury
Keeley Parks' OU debut will have to wait a year.
OU announced that Parks will miss the entire upcoming season after suffering a non-contact knee injury in practice last week. The injury will require surgery after the Sooners return from Paris for their season-opening trip.
The announcement came just hours before the Sooners open their season against No. 12 Carolina on Monday in Paris, France.
Parks, a sophomore, just transferred to OU over the offseason in a decision to return home as a Norman native. She was Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year twice as a star at Norman High School before committing to Kansas as the top recruit in the state.
She spent just one year with the Jayhawks, averaging 5.1 points and shooting 33.9% from three-point range in 16 appearances as a freshman.
Parks wasn't expected to crack the starting lineup yet, but would have been a valuable depth piece with a lot of potential in a loaded sophomore class for OU that also includes point guard Aaliyah Chavez and forward Brooklyn Stewart.
OU soccer heads into postseason
The soccer regular season might be over in Norman, but there's still more to play.
OU lost to Tennessee 3-1 on Sunday in its regular-season finale before heading into the SEC Tournament this weekend. The 7th-seeded Sooners will start postseason action against No. 10 Georgia at 11:30 a.m. CT on Sunday in Pensacola, Florida.
The winner between the Sooners and Bulldogs will get No. 2 South Carolina in the quarterfinals. OU is sitting pretty to get into the NCAA Tournament, but this is the Sooners' time to get hot and improve their seeding with an upset or two.
