Jake Kreul announces top 3 that includes Sooners
Kreul announced his top 3 after wrapping up a summer of official visits to OU, Texas, Florida, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Colorado. He also had offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Vanderbilt and more.
ESPN rates Kreul, listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, as a five-star recruit, while every other major recruiting service gave Kreul four stars. According to the 247Sports Composite, Kreul is the No. 4 edge rusher in the 2026 class and No. 3 prospect in the state of Florida.
Last season as a junior, Kreul tallied 39 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hurries and six sacks in nine games with a loaded preps schedule at powerhouse IMG Academy in Florida. He then participated in the Under Armour All-American Game and the Polynesian Bowl.
Multiple recruiting experts have predicted the Sooners to land Kreul. If they do, Kreul would immediately become the Sooners' highest-rated commit from the 2026 class with a 0.9831 rating based on the 247Sports Composite. Consensus four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley is currently OU's No. 1 commit with a 247Sports Composite score of 0.9567.
