Oklahoma’s 2026 softball roster is filled with deep talent everywhere where the depth extends beyond the players on the diamond. With a squad loaded with heavy hitters in the batting order, the utility players will help Patty Gasso determine an offensive strategy for each opponent while being able to play at any position.

Junior Ella Parker and sophomore Tia Milloy are the two main utilities for this season, and both are among the 13 returners from the 2025 Women’s College World Series team. Freshman Allyssa Parker will also be available when the two-way pitcher is not in the circle.

2026 OU softball utility player preview

Ella Parker arrives to the season as one of the most powerful hitters in college softball. She is primarily a designated player in the batting order whose offense has made her and fellow junior Kasidi Pickering a strong duo ever since both won the 2024 WCWS their freshman year. Parker’s preseason recognition is identically abundant, as Softball America named her No. 4 in the 2026 Top 100, which was the highest for a Sooner, the top spot in the Preseason Utility Rankings, and Preseason All-American.

The 2025 NFCA First-Team All-American appeared on the 2026 Preseason All-SEC Team
alongside Pickering and sophomore infielder Gabbie Garcia, all of whom are joined by senior pitcher Sydney Berzon and sophomore infielder Nelly McEnroe-Marinas on USA Softball’s Top 50 Watch List for Collegiate Player of the Year.

Last season, Parker led the batting lineup with a .423 average while making 51 runs, 74 hits, 53 RBIs and 15 home runs at the plate.

Tia Milloy enters her second year after serving as a pinch runner and pinch hitter for her teammates, while also playing in left and center field during the fall scrimmages. The stats she had as a freshman were a .259 batting average, 16 hits, 14 hits, 13 RBIs and five home runs.
