The full schedule for the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic was announced on Monday. After missing the tournament last year, the Sooners are among the 30 teams heading west to Cathedral City, California, on Feb. 19-22 for their season-opening test, where they will play a six-game slate consisting of Fullerton, San Diego State, Duke, California, Long Beach State and Washington.
Schedule released for Sooners in 2026 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic
Like how the Sooners’ 2026 SEC schedule is loaded with a spring of challenging teams, all six of their opponents in the lineup finished the 2025 season with a winning record.
OU is going into the event with a perfect 15-0 win streak from 2022-24 and a grudge match against Washington is on the line to keep the momentum going as the Huskies defeated the Sooners there in 2020.
Fullerton, San Diego State and Long Beach were fought in nonconference games last season, while the Golden Bears ended their 2025 postseason on OU’s home turf in the Norman Regional finals. The Blue Devils had the best record of these teams and also made it to the final 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
Although OU has swept the competition in its last three appearances at the prestigious college softball tournament, only four players from Patty Gasso’s 2024 roster are returning from the last trip: juniors OF Kasidi Pickering and UTL Ella Parker, senior LHP Kierston Deal, and redshirt sophomore INF Nelly McEnroe-Marinas. They will be joined by the freshmen, sophomores and top-ranked transfer portal additions to kick the newest season off to the best start.
According to the website, tickets will be available to buy near the end of October.
