On the same day of gaining a verbal commitment from the No. 1 outfielder in the 2027 class, Oklahoma also picked up a commitment from the No. 1 softball player in the state of Arizona.
Elite shortstop Emma Reynolds from Queen Creek, Arizona, pledged to play softball for the eight-time national champions Oklahoma Sooners. Her commitment came literally just hours after adding outfielder Finlee Williams to the Sooners' 2027 recruiting class.

I want to thank my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for this amazing opportunity. I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates. Blessed to be a sooner! #boomersooner @GassoPatty @OU_Softball pic.twitter.com/PKTLJnisAQ

Reynolds, a four-star prospect, was one of several recruiting targets, including Williams, who visited Oklahoma over the weekend. She is rated by Softball America as the 16th-best middle infielder in the class. Reynolds was the fourth Oklahoma commitment for the 2027 class. She joined five-star recruits Williams and catchers Juliana "Goose" Hutchens and Riley Hilliard.
Reynolds comes from an athletic family. Her father played football at Arizona State and her brother has committed to play quarterback at Arizona State in the class of 2026.
As a sophomore at Queen Creek High School last season, Reynolds hit .519 with eight home runs, 33 runs batted in and 14 extra-base hits.
According to Softball America, Oklahoma's 2027 class ranks No. 1 nationally. Of the four 2027 Sooner commitments, Hutchens is the No. 2 overall player in the 2027 class, Williams is the No. 3 overall player and Hilliard is ranked 11th overall, as well as the No. 2 catcher.
All four Oklahoma 2027 commitments have come in the month of September.
Now in her 32nd season as Oklahoma head coach, Patty Gasso continues to coach at the highest levels of the game. Her last two recruiting classes (2025 and 2026) have finished or currently sit at No. 1 and No. 2 in the country, respectively, according to Softball America, and the 2027 class is trending in that same way.
