Oklahoma junior center Raegan Beers has solidified herself as one of the best women's college basketball players in America this season.
Beers on Wednesday was named an All-America honorable mention by Associated Press and United States Basketball Writers Association.
This is the second time Beers has earned the honors, but the first as a Sooner. She was a Third-Team All-American by AP last season with the Oregon State Beavers before transferring to OU during the offseason.
Beers immediately became the Sooners' best player as soon as she stepped foot on campus. She's been OU's leading scorer and rebounder all season, averaging 17.5 points a game and 8.9 rebounds. She also leads the Sooners with 1.1 blocks a game.
And it's not just the Sooners Beers is leading. She became the first SEC player in more than 25 years to average at least 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and shoot 65% from the field while playing fewer than 23 minutes a game in the regular season. That helped Beers become a First-Team All-SEC selection.
Beers tallied 12 double-doubles during the season, the most by an OU player since Joanna McFarland had 14 in 2012-13.
Beers' All-America honors makes it four straight seasons OU has produced an All-American, which is every season with Jennie Baranczyk as head coach. Beers joined teammate Skylar Vann, Madi Williams and Taylor Robertson as AP All-America honorees under Baranczyk.
The Sooners have also made the NCAA Tournament four seasons in a row under Baranczyk. This year, OU got the 3-seed and will host the first two rounds at Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners will tip off their NCAA Tournament action against 14-seed Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday.
