It took seven wins in a row, but the Oklahoma Sooners finally have some believers out in Vegas. Not that it's mattered at all to this point.
FanDuel on Monday night immediately after the Sooners' 4-3 win over Georgia in the Men's College World Series rocketed their national title odds up to +310, which are second-best behind only No. 5 national seed North Carolina at -105. The Tar Heels have been the favorites since before the tournament even started and have shown why after starting out 2-0 like OU. However, landing on the soft side of the bracket also benefits UNC's chances.
Vegas really had no choice but to put the Sooners with at least the second-best odds, though, as one of only two 2-0 teams in the driver's seat.
Sooners open eyes of oddsmakers after win over Georgia and 2-0 start
Right after the Sooners is No. 3 national seed Georgia at +550. The Bulldogs, who entered the MCWS with the second-best odds, being atop the four teams with a loss shows just how massive the Sooners' win over them was and how tough of an out they'll be until the end. Georgia will play Texas on Tuesday, and the winner of that one will have to beat the Sooners twice to make the championship series. OU, though, needs just one more win to compete for the championship.

The rest of the list, respectively, includes Texas (+650), West Virginia (+1400) and Troy (+5500), as of Tuesday morning. By the end of the day Tuesday, the field will be down to four, which will further increase everyone else's odds.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
The Sooners' odds have seen an uptick after every monumental victory during their seven-game winning streak, which is now the longest in college baseball after halting Georgia's win streak at nine games. Even after upsetting No. 2 national seed Georgia Tech in the Atlanta Regional and dismantling No. 15 Kansas in the Lawrence Super Regional, OU still entered the MCWS with +1800 odds, which were only better than Troy among the eight-team field. Even before that, though, OU's title odds sat at +3000 entering Super Regionals, again better only than mid-major teams.
No one saw this improbable run to Omaha coming from the Sooners, let alone winning their first two games with victories over even more top-10 national seeds. However, if someone did, they're on the brink of a massive payday thanks to these Sooners if they've had faith since those +3000 odds. Even just $10 worth of belief could turn that into $310 if OU goes all the way.
