The Oklahoma Sooners haven't won over believers in Vegas yet.
FanDuel released updated baseball national championship odds since the field was drastically cut down to 16 with Super Regionals this weekend. The Sooners pulled off a walk-off miracle to upset No. 2 national seed Georgia Tech to play the No. 15 Kansas Jayhawks in the Lawrence Super Regional. The winner of the three-game series in Lawrence and the other Super Regional matchups will advance to the College World Series in Omaha.
Oklahoma deemed massive underdog again among final national contenders left standing
Outside of the mid-major programs that pulled off even more surprising upsets than OU during regionals, the Sooners have some of the worse odds to win it all while being tied with Oregon at +3000. The only teams with poorer odds are Troy (+3500), Cal Poly (+10000), St. John's (+17500) and Arkansas Little Rock (+20000), as of Thursday.
No. 5 national seed North Carolina, hosting USC for Super Regionals, was given the best odds at +380, while the Trojans were at +2200, right ahead of the Sooners. The Tar Heels were followed by No. 6 Texas (+450), No. 3 Georgia (+550), No. 4 Auburn (+550) , No. 14 Mississippi State (+650), No. 16 West Virginia (+1200), No. 7 Alabama (+1700), No. 15 Kansas (+1800) and Ole Miss (+2200).
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
Despite being the highest seed left after OU took down Georgia Tech and top-seeded UCLA didn't survive its regional, Georgia still didn't get the best odds thanks to one of the toughest Super Regional pairings against Mississippi State. Texas is the only other top-8 seed hosting another seeded team as every other Super Regional includes an unseeded squad that managed an upset to advance, including OU in Lawrence.

The completely wide-open field should actually favor the Sooners, especially after gaining the confidence from beating the No. 2 team in the country on consecutive days. OU actually has even better chance against Kansas this week than it did of upsetting Georgia Tech. FanDuel listed the Sooners as +154 underdogs against the Jayhawks.
OU appears to be the most favorable major underdog. The Sooners are battle-tested after enduring an SEC gauntlet, proved to have zero quit in them in Atlanta and obviously have a lot of luck on their side right now. Oregon, with the same odds, certainly can't say it was tested as much as the Sooners with its Big Ten schedule, and those mid-majors definitely cannot.
If the Sooners can beat No. 2 Georgia Tech, they proved to have a chance against anybody.
