The Oklahoma Sooners continue to go after the best wide receivers the 2028 recruiting class has to offer.

Ryan Richmond-McDavis, a four-star receiver from the 2028 class, announced an offer from the Sooners on Tuesday to become yet another top-30 prospect at the position that OU has entered the mix for already.

So far, according to 247Sports, the Sooners have extended reported offers to 16 wide receivers from the 2028 class, and now after Richmond-McDavis, 10 of them are considered top-30 players at the position based on the 247Sports Composite. That group also includes four recruits who have already achieved five-star status in Jaylen Addai, Braylon Clark, Madoxx Davis and James Foster III. Nine, including Richmond-McDavis, have four stars.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Richmond-McDavis, listed at 5-foot-11, is the No. 30 wide receiver in the 2028 class and No. 186 overall prospect. Coming out of Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis, he's also the second-best player in the state of Missouri. Those rankings will likely only rise the closer Richmond-McDavis gets to making a decision.

Last season as a sophomore, Richmond-McDavis caught 38 passes for 697 yards and six touchdowns as his team went 9-4.

Richmond-McDavis' recruitment has recently taken off after that impressive showing as a sophomore. Since the end of the 2025 season, he has picked up offers from in-state Missouri, Iowa State, Louisville, Notre Dame, Kansas State, Oregon, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Kansas and Wisconsin. He also already had an offer from Nebraska.

He's recently visited Missouri down the road, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Oregon, Louisville and Kansas this spring. He also took trips to Indiana and Kansas State during the 2025 season. The Sooners will still have plenty of time to get him to Oklahoma, especially during the 2026 season, for an unofficial visit since he still has almost two years before signing.

The Sooners' approach at wide receiver reveal they're big-game hunting and looking for their 2028 class to be just as impressive as their 2027 group, which is ranked as one of the best in college football.

OU, though, is still searching for that first 2028 domino to fall and get things really going. Running back Micah Rhodes was committed, but then decommitted after running backs coach DeMarco Murray left to join the Kansas City Chiefs' staff. That first commit should be around the corner as recruitment heats up this summer.
