Christmas is over, but Oklahoma fans still have something at the top of their wish list.

Hayes Fawcett of On3 ruined the day of all Auburn fans while igniting hopes and dreams into every other college football fan base, including Sooner Nation, on Monday when he reported that star wide receiver Cam Coleman is expected to enter the Transfer Portal once it officially opens on Friday. Coleman then made his own announcement on Tuesday.

Coleman, listed at 6-foot-3, was a five-star recruit in the 2024 class before immediately becoming the best player on Auburn's roster. In 2024, he had 37 receptions for 598 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 16.2 yards a catch. He was named to the On3 True Freshman All-America and SEC All-Freshman teams.

This season, even with Jackson Arnold at quarterback most of the time, Coleman led the Tigers with 708 receiving yards and five TDs on 56 catches.

With Auburn's struggles and the firing of head coach Hugh Freeze during the season, the college football world had been anticipating for Coleman to be on the market this offseason. He'll have two years of eligibility left, but wherever he ends up next will likely be for just one season before he heads to the NFL as a top prospect.

OU fans started dreaming of Coleman wearing crimson and cream as early as the Sooners' SEC opener (and maybe even sooner) when he caught three passes for 88 yards and a TD against OU in Norman. The news of Coleman officially heading to the portal and actually being available only ignited the dreams of OU fans watching Coleman catch TD passes at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium while letting OU general manager Jim Nagy know exactly what they want as OU could use an elite receiver on its roster.

And the dreams started even before Coleman had any plans to enter the portal, and OU fans have been voicing their plans to Nagy for a bit now.
