The shot went in and the social media posts went out.

Oklahoma freshman Jeremiah Fears made an incredible four-point play Wednesday night to boost the Sooners to an 87-86 win over No. 24 Michigan in the Jumpman Invitational. The game-winner kept the No. 14 Sooners unbeaten at 11-0.

Fears also scored a career-high 30 points, which led all scorers. It's also worth noting that the 18-year-old Fears should still be playing against high schoolers but reclassified last year to switch from the 2025 class to 2024.

So far as a freshman, Fears is averaging 17.9 points a game and only keeps getting better every game he gains experience.

Although anyone keeping up with OU men's basketball has been well aware of Fears for a bit, that shot on Wednesday night put him on notice by even casual Sooner fans, as well as fans and analysts around the country, plus an OU legend.

But game always recognizes game.

But like Trae Young, Jeremiah Fears is too good to stick around long, so just enjoy him while he's wearing the crimson and cream.

And do not forget Fears should still be in high school.

But every great player also needs a really good team. And it seems like Fears has that with the undefeated Sooners.

What a night for Sooner Nation, though.
