All of Sooner Nation was pumped about the Oklahoma Sooners’ victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide, including some OU legends from multiple sports.

The No. 11 Sooners took down No. 4 Alabama 23-21 on Saturday in Tuscaloosa. The win not only defied odds and ended the Crimson Tide’s 17-game home winning streak at Bryant-Denny Stadium, which was the longest in the country, but also skyrocketed the Sooners’ chances at making the College Football Playoff with just two regular-season games left at home against Missouri and LSU, respectively.

It was certainly the biggest win of the Brent Venables era, and also one of the greatest wins in OU history, especially if it ultimately propels the Sooners to their first berth in the 12-team playoff and maybe even beyond.

The magnitude of the game created an absolute scene at Bryant-Denny Stadium, even with the Sooners far from Norman. And those at home, including a handful of OU greats, also celebrated just as loudly, especially on social media.

Oklahoma greats celebrate Sooners massive win over Crimson Tide

New Orleans Saints linebacker Danny Stutsman was in uniform last season when the Sooners upset Bama, and with the Saints on a bye, he was present again, but this time as a fan on the sideline who celebrated with his old teammates afterward.

As usual, former defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was also overjoyed and confident in his Sooners.

"There's only one real crimson," he repeated.

Other Sooner greats who enjoyed the victory included Hollywood Brown, Creed Humphrey, Nik Bonitto, Tony Jefferson, Tre Brown and Rodney Anderson.

And Norman native, NBA All-Star and OU men's basketball assistant general manager Trae Young isn't just a massive fan of the Sooners, but also apparently of Brent Venables, who is 2-0 against Bama as the Sooners' head coach.
