Twelve years later, and Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson is still among the best.

Johnson, a former Oklahoma Sooners star, came in at No. 23 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 list on Thursday. He jumped 18 spots after being 41st in the rankings last year.

The NFL released a video to announce Johnson’s ranking, with Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl defensive tackle Rashan Gary immediately stating Johnson was the best offensive tackle he faced last season. Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl edge rusher Micah Parsons went as far to say that he’s looking forward to the day Johnson finally retires.

“It’s always a good matchup,” Parsons said in the video. “I’m looking forward to the day — he’s 35 now? He’s pushing it, so I’m looking forward to the day. He tells me it’s coming soon, so I think this might be his last run. And I’ll be looking forward to it, because it would be my division from then on.”

Johnson just won his second Super Bowl with the Eagles last season. Entering his 13th season, Johnson is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler. He was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of OU.

The Sooners have had seven former players appear on the 2025 NFL Top 100 so far, including Creed Humphrey (93), Joe Mixon (58), Baker Mayfield (50), Trent Williams (45), Nik Bonitto (38) and CeeDee Lamb (35).

Johnson’s Eagles teammate and fellow reigning Super Bowl champion Jalen Hurts should also be on the list eventually, and it looks like the Super Bowl MVP quarterback could crack the top 10 this year.
