Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson has the chance to ride off into the sunset after the Eagles won Super LIX on Sunday night.
Johnson has been with the Eagles since 2013 after a successful college career with the Oklahoma Sooners. After 12 seasons in the NFL, many started to speculate if this would be Johnson's last run, especially after it ended in the best way possible.
The Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday in New Orleans. Johnson got to hoist a Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career.

On top of being a two-time Super Bowl champion, Johnson is also a six-time Pro Bowler, including this season. It was also his third Super Bowl to play in.
Having already accomplished nearly everything possible in a 12-year career, the end seemed near for Johnson. He was asked after the Super Bowl on Sunday about the possibility of retiring. Dianna Russini of The Athletic asked him on the field postgame.
"I'm not retiring," Johnson said before the question was even finished. "I'm not retiring. Yeah, I'm not retiring."
Johnson definitely didn't leave any doubt with his answer.

The Eagles drafted Johnson with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Johnson's college career actually started as a quarterback. He played one season at Kilgore College as a quarterback and tight end before transferring to OU and becoming the Sooners' scout team QB. He then switched to tight end, then to defensive end, and then finally to the offensive line in 2011 because of injuries at the position.
That was obviously the right move as he was named Second-Team All-Big 12 in 2012 and was invited to the Senior Bowl before becoming an All-Pro offensive lineman in the NFL.
In 2023, Johnson signed an extension with the Eagles through the 2026 season. He's 34 years old.
