Wait, what?
It was just revealed on Tuesday that five-star defensive end Jake Kreul will announce his commitment live on ESPN next week after narrowing down his options to Oklahoma, Texas and Ole Miss, but that might not be his only three choices by then. Less than a day after the news of Kreul's decision came out, he posted on X his official offer from the in-state Florida Gators.

Kreul posts about Florida offer after no longer considering Gators
All three SEC fan bases were obviously both confused and worried by the post. From IMG Academy in Florida, the Gators aren't only home for Kreul, but it's also where his father played. Kreul also posted a viral video from his visit to Florida in June in which he referred to Florida as his "dream school." For whatever reason, though, the Gators eventually faded as a top option.

Florida actually extended an offer to Kreul way back in June 2024, but offers to 2026 prospects did not become official until recently. So the offer from the Gators isn't technically a late entrant, but the fact Kreul posted about it makes it seem like Florida might actually still be in the mix with less than a week until his announcement.
Kreul will announce his college choice on Tuesday live on ESPN's College Football Live in what was deemed, "The Decision."
ESPN rates Kreul as a five-star prospect, but every other major recruiting service gave Kreul four stars. According to the 247Sports Composite, Kreul is the No. 63 overall prospect and No. 9 edge rusher in the 2026 class.
