The Oklahoma women's basketball team is in desperate need of a win to avoid a losing streak.

The Sooners will travel to Ole Miss on Thursday night for their only game of the week.

How to watch

Need to know

A loss Tuesday night would put the No. 15 Sooners on their first losing streak of the season.

OU is coming off a winless week after losing to a pair of top-15 teams in then-No. 7 LSU and then-No. 12 Kentucky. Those back-to-back losses didn't do much harm to the Sooners' NCAA Tournament resume or in the rankings, but a third loss to an unranked team certainly would.

Although unranked, Ole Miss isn't a lock for the Sooners, especially on the road. The Rebels actually have a better SEC record than OU at 6-3, compared to the Sooners at 4-5. However, with less than a month left in the season, the Rebels still haven't beaten a team that's currently in the top 25.

Hopefully that doesn't mean Ole Miss is due, though.

Despite the losses, the Sooners have recently had several players step up to help out leading scorer Raegan Beers.

Beers still leads OU with 16.9 points a game, but Sahara Williams scored 27 the last outing and Payton Verhulst had 26 points the game before that against LSU.

The Sooners will get a break the rest of this week after taking on Ole Miss before hosting Auburn and traveling to Missouri next week.
