The final SEC postseason event of 2024-25 is here.
The SEC Baseball Tournament started Tuesday morning in Hoover, Alabama, and was the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns' debut in the tourney. The former Big 12 members got opposite welcomes to the SEC, though, as the Sooners are the 12-seed with a losing conference record and the Longhorns are the top seed as SEC regular-season conference champions.
The tournament is a six-day event that will not conclude until Sunday with the championship game. The Sooners need to win four games in five days to get to that point, as the top-4 seeds earned two byes straight to the quarterfinals.
On Tuesday, weather in Hoover already altered the schedule after the last game of the day was postponed until Wednesday and pushed the entire slate back, including the Sooners second-round game against Georgia.
