With the snow melted and Spring weather expected in Norman, the perfect Oklahoma Sooners got a perfect week to host a flurry of home games at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The undefeated No. 16 Sooners will host five games this week during their six-game winning streak to start the 2025 college baseball season.
OU just returned from its first road trip of the season to Texas, where the Sooners went 3-0 with wins against Minnesota, then-No. 7 Oregon State and then-No. 2 Virginia to claim the championship at the Round Rock Classic. The successful weekend sent OU from unranked to just outside the top 15 in the latest D1 Baseball Rankings.
The Sooners started their season at L. Dale Mitchell Park with a series sweep of Lehigh opening weekend.
Back in Norman again, OU will play Texas Southern on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Sooners will then welcome California State Northridge for a weekend series.
Although the competition is not as daunting as last weekend, this week will still be a tough test for the Sooners with five games slated, especially for their pitching staff that has a combined 2.50 ERA through six games.
Here's the Sooners' entire schedule for the week and how to watch every game.
Midweek games
Texas Southern's lone win so far was to Prairie View A&M opening weekend. Most recently, Incarnate Word swept the Tigers in a series this past weekend.
Weekend series
CSUN is coming off a win against BYU in the series finale on Saturday. The Matadors ultimately lost the series, though, after BYU won the first two games by a combined 26-6. Before that, CSUN stole a game from Santa Clara.
The benefit CSUN has over the Sooners is that the Matadors won't play this week until getting to Norman, so they should be fresh while the Sooners are recovering from a two-game set.
