Surprisingly, the once-top-5 Oklahoma women's basketball team is now trying to avoid a losing streak.
The No. 13 Sooners on Sunday afternoon will host No. 6 LSU for a top-15 SEC clash after losing to a pair of ranked conference opponents a week ago. OU lost to then-No. 18 Ole Miss 74-69 last week at Lloyd Noble Center before falling to then-No. 6 Kentucky 63-57 on the road. The deficits dropped the Sooners out of the top 10 in the latest Associated Press Top 25.
Even after a rough week, though, the Sooners are still having an exceptional season at 14-3 while being led by early All-American candidates Raegan Beers and Aaliyah Chavez. LSU is also off to another stellar start under Kim Mulkey at 16-2 and coming off a 70-65 upset over then-No. 2 Texas.
A win over LSU would elevate the Sooners back into the top 10 and reassert them as national contenders.

Tickets prices for Oklahoma vs LSU at Lloyd Noble Center
While the OU men struggle to get fans inside Lloyd Noble Center, Sunday's women's game between the Sooners and LSU has already been announced as a sellout. That proves the product itself and winning is how to draw fan interest.
With the sellout, second-hand sites are the only options now for fans to buy tickets and witness the top-15 SEC clash in person. As of Thursday, the cheapest available ticket on Gametime, which compiles available tickets from multiple second-hand sites, was $92 in Section 104. Only two available tickets were priced at less than $100, with the most expensive being $717 in Section F2, Row A.
What is the series history between Oklahoma and LSU in women's basketball?
These two storied programs have very little history, with Sunday being only their third meeting all-time. The series is split 1-1, with LSU winning a historical 107-100 shootout last season. OU won 90-68 in 2019, the only meeting so far in Norman.
