FOX college football analyst RJ Young accomplished the task of ranking all 136 teams in the FBS, and the Oklahoma Sooners came out close to the top.
Young ranked the Sooners at No. 10 as one of five SEC teams he considered worthy of the top 10. It is worth noting in this instance, though, that Young is an OU alum who spent time covering the Sooners in the past. However, he doesn't always favor his alma-mater.
Did @RJ_Young really rank all 136 FBS teams ahead of the season? Yes, yes he did 🙌🔥

RJ Young, an OU alum, ranked all 136 FBS teams
You could blame Young's bias on the lofty ranking, but most college football experts this offseason have included the Sooners at least inside the top 20 of their own preseason rankings. However, college football coaches didn't even include OU in the top 25 at all of the preseason coaches poll. That one poll seems to be an outlier, though, with the Sooners at No. 18 in the preseason AP Top 25, which voted on by media.
There's also no OU fandom evident in these massive rankings with Texas at the top. No one would have complained if Young leaked out some Texas hatred and put any of the top-5 teams ahead of the Longhorns.
Texas is one of eight teams on the Sooners' schedule that was inside Young's top 25. That included No. 1 Texas, No. 8 LSU, No. 9 Alabama, No. 12 Michigan, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 14 Ole Miss, No. 15 Missouri and No. 17 South Carolina.
That leaves only No. 39 Auburn, No. 130 Kennesaw State and No. 136 Kent State left on the slate. Although the schedule is top-heavy, it also includes two teams in the bottom 10 teams of the FBS, according to Young.
