Oklahoma pulled off the upset win over No. 21 Mississippi State winning the game 93-87, winning just their fourth conference game this season, but in a way, Duke Miles truly lost during the game.

With about seven minutes left in the game and the Sooners up 73-67, Miles was going after a loose on his own end of the court and was tripped up with another Mississippi State player. As Miles went to the ground on the dive, it could be seen on replay that he brutally hit his head on the floor and was not getting up after.

Miles stayed on the ground, moving very slowly as the medical staff and coaches for Oklahoma rushed out to him once play was stopped. Once the training staff got to him, the cameras panned a little closer, and it could be seen that coaches were literally picking up bits of Miles' shattered teeth off the floor.

The training staff was able to get Miles off the floor and back into the locker room, but it was truly a vicious hit that Miles took on the floor. While the main concern was most likely for concussion for Miles, there will most likely be a concern about his mouth and potentially missing teeth as well.

Miles somehow made a return to the game in the final few minutes, and his clutch free throws helped seal the win for Oklahoma. The Sooners, with this win, were able to snap a five-game losing streak, and a win like this could keep the Sooners on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament or at least help them out in terms of another postseason tournament such as the NIT.

The Sooners will only get a few days of rest before they host No. 17 Kentucky on Wednesday, February 26, at 8:00 p.m. CT on SEC Network. Check back for more updates on Miles' condition in the coming days.
