Danny Stutsman's family and friends had a lot of emotion built up after three days of watching the 2025 NFL Draft.

Stutsman, a linebacker and fan favorite for the Oklahoma Sooners, finally got the call he had been waiting for on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. The New Orleans Saints selected Stutsman with the 112th overall pick in the fourth round on Saturday. He was the first Sooner off the board this year.

Stutsman had been projected to go as early as the third round, but had to wait until Day 3 to finally learn his NFL destination after four years at OU. Stutsman was surrounded by his family and friends when he finally got the call, and while Stutsman was in disbelief, those around him were absolutely pumped.

When he got off the phone, Stutsman simply said, "I'm a Saint," and the room went nuts.

Stutsman spent his entire career at OU as he became a favorite of Sooner Nation. He could have declared for the NFL Draft last year, but instead he chose to return to OU for his senior year to experience the Sooners' first season in the SEC. He announced the decision in a video with Sooner legend Brian Bosworth, another linebacker.

Stutsman will surely also become a favorite of Who Dat Nation now in New Orleans. And Stutsman is already buying in, too.
