Already considered the best at his position, former Oklahoma great and Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey finally got the recognition he deserved among all great players in the NFL.
For the first time in his successful career, Humphrey was included in the list of NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 at No. 93. It's still probably too low for Humphrey, but while playing a thankless position unless you have a podcast, at least he finally made the group.
"Kansas City’s offensive line issues last season had zilch to do with Humphrey," the NFL's Bobby Kownack wrote. "PFF’s best-graded center (92.4) by 6.3 points, he boasted the highest pass-blocking grade at his position by an even larger margin (91.5; nine points) and received the second-highest run-blocking grade (90.5). Humphrey reached his third straight Pro Bowl and was recognized for the first time as a first-team All-Pro. Kansas City could face another difficult time figuring out its best five on the O-line in 2025, but Humphrey is locked in at the center of it all."
Former Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey makes NFL Top 100 for first time
Entering his fifth NFL season with the Chiefs, Humphrey is already a two-time Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler. Last season, he was named First-Team All-Pro for the first time after second-team recognition in 2022.
At OU, Humphrey was a Third-Team All-American in 2020 and won Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year twice in 2019 and 2020. He was also First-Team All-Big 12 those years and second team in 2018. Humphrey was then taken by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Humphrey was the first former Sooner included on the list, but certainly shouldn't be the only. In 2024, the top 100 included four former OU players in No. 7 Trent Williams, No. 13 CeeDee Lamb, No. 15 Jalen Hurts and No. 41 Lane Johnson. That number should grow in 2025.
