Apparently Auburn athletic director John Cohen or head coach Hugh Freeze or anyone over there at Toomer’s Corner has never watched Disney’s “Frozen,” because they cannot let it go.
Five days after losing to the Oklahoma Sooners 24-17, and just two days before playing No. 9 Texas A&M on the road, the Tigers are still hung up on one play as Cohen released a statement Thursday evening to complain about officiating that has Auburn as the laughing stock of college football right now.

One play stole the headlines of the top-25 meeting between Oklahoma and Auburn on Saturday. OU wide receiver Isaiah Sategna was left wide open for a 24-yard touchdown with 10:45 left in the second quarter after lining up near the sideline.
The ABC broadcast crew ranted how the play was illegal based on a poorly written rule and Auburn fans accused the Sooners of cheating. To make matters worse, the SEC released a statement later that night and stirred up even more drama by stating the play was illegal. However, OU's staff said it cleared the play before the game and everything transpired right in front of the line judge, who confirmed to Sategna he was lined up correctly.
Did Oklahoma use the substitution rule to deceive Auburn? If so, obviously illegal, according to Matt Austin, ESPN's rules analyst. Hard to judge intent. pic.twitter.com/4YWgYv2Ss2

Ever since, Freeze has whined about officiating every time he's been in front of a mic and even claimed SEC commissioner Greg Sankey apologized about what happened. Auburn fans also continue to clamor that the Sooners cheated. All while they prepare for a top-10 conference opponent on the road, and Freeze even admitted early in the week that he hadn't watched as much film because he was sidetracked by other things.
It's worth noting, though, that the play occurred with 10:45 left in the second quarter. Auburn also gave up a record-tying nine sacks and had multiple opportunities to win the game at the end, but instead gave up a game-winning touchdown before quarterback Jackson Arnold got sacked in the end zone when the Tigers got their turn to try to win the game.
Obviously OU fans got tired of this commotion quickly, but now most college fans and even some of the Tigers' own faithful are getting worn down by Auburn dragging this loss out, with Thursday's statement being a new low.

You did plenty to lose that game. https://t.co/fVuX11mEyk
Only thing more shocking than putting this statement out now is the signature placement on it. https://t.co/a5ET8HkcrO

At some point you're in "gotta move on and focus on the next one" territory.

Imagine you are about to play a top 10 team on the road in 2 days and still crying about officiating because your defense didn’t account for all 11 players on the field during a play in the early 2nd quarter of a game the week prior https://t.co/z2CihPZzTp

Honestly we shouldn’t be surprised that the AD who put unclaimed national championships in a stadium is doing this. https://t.co/zWbzmgJACV

Can’t let 1 loss turn into 2 losses. Way past time to turn the page and get ready for Saturday. https://t.co/fmt2ineEzk

Look, just post your final score graphic with the “fought hard” caption and let your fans complain about the refs on twitter https://t.co/rii1Rzjx3L

Putting out an official statement just to say “we lost” is crazy https://t.co/RdogNMV4A1

This is quite literally one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. I’d be embarrassed beyond reason to be a fan. https://t.co/xddopCJuV7
