As of the start of Friday, the Oklahoma Sooners had added 10 new players from the Transfer Portal, but with a week still left of an open portal, OU general manager Jim Nagy isn't finished yet.
So far, Nagy has brought in tight end Hayden Hansen, offensive lineman Caleb Nitta, wide receiver Trell Harris, offensive lineman E'Marion Harris, running back Lloyd Avant, tight end Rocky Beers, cornerback Dakoda Fields, wide receiver Parker Livingstone, defensive lineman Kenny Ozowalu and linebacker Cole Sullivan. Soon, even more names will join that list, with three players in particular already on watch to be the Sooners' next commitments.
Davion Dozier is a name that's been mentioned a lot as one of the Sooners' receiver targets basically since the start of this cycle. Some believed Dozier might have been Plan B if OU whiffed on Parker Livingstone from Texas, but even after getting Livingstone, the Sooners still need more depth at the position.
Dozier, listed at 6-foot-4, had posted on X that he would visit Oklahoma this week, but then deleted the post. It seems once Dozier finally gets on campus, he'll be a Sooner.
Peyton Joseph, listed at 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, is visiting OU on Friday as the Sooners still desperately try to add depth along the offensive line. According to the 247Sports Composite, Joseph was a four-star recruit and the No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, so he could provide that depth now and maybe even more later.
Joseph entered the portal after his position coach, Geep Wade, left for Nebraska, so it was presumed Joseph would follow. However, after a stop at Tulane, Joseph hasn't visited Nebraska yet, so the Sooners can make sure he never even gets there with a commitment while he's in Norman.
Some OU fans will roll their eyes when they see the Austin Peay logo, but the Sooners still need depth at wide receiver and shouldn't overpay for it. As a freshman, Maxwell caught 23 passes for 385 yards and four TDs this season.
Maxwell announced an offer from OU on Wednesday and it still remains his only Power Four offer, which means it's not only his one way to play big-time college football, but he can also be a value for Nagy. The Sooners still need to get Maxwell on campus, but once he is, that likely means he'll be pledging soon.
Denell Nix Jr. was just in Norman on Wednesday and Thursday after visiting Oklahoma State right before. So far, those are his only visits, and a decision between the two Bedlam schools should be coming soon. Nix, listed at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, spent one season at App State and would be a depth piece at both of OU's tackle spots.
