That massive win over Michigan on Saturday night wasn't just a victory for the 2025 Oklahoma Sooners, but could also lead to several wins for future OU football teams.

A long list of recruits were at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to witness the Sooners' 24-13 win over Michigan in primetime, and just a few days later, some are ready to be playing in games like that themselves as Sooners one day as major recruiting outlets have logged multiple predictions for OU to land top targets.

Multiple 2027 recruits predicted to commit to Sooners soon

The most notable prediction came when multiple On3 recruiting experts predicted the Sooners to get their No. 1 quarterback target in four-star Peyton Houston, who is scheduled to announce his commitment on Monday morning.

Saturday was Houston's seventh unofficial visit to Norman as one of Ben Arbuckle's top priorities. Houston has obviously impressed Arbuckle, but Arbuckle got to do the impressing this time by calling a masterful game that resulted in quarterback John Mateer tallying 344 total yards and earning SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

To give Houston a future weapon, four-star wide receiver Demare Dezeurn, from Pacific Palisades, California, is also predicted to choose the Sooners. The day after OU's win, OU wide receivers coach Emmett Jones posted a picture from where appeared to be California to secure Dezeurn.

Dezeurn just released his top 5 on Sunday and included OU, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee and UCLA.

Brent Venables' defense also made quite the impression on four-star cornerback Mikhail McCreary. There's no official prediction for McCreary yet, but Sam Spiegelman of Rivals reported that the Sooners are leading the way to eventually land McCreary.

Still early in the process, the Sooners have only one commit from the 2027 class so far in three-star offensive tackle Luke Wilson. If the three mentioned before really do commit to the Sooners, though, then OU will have one of the best starts imaginable to its 2027 class.
