OL Tyler Guyton

Redshirt junior Tyler Guyton begins his second season at Oklahoma. The 6-foot, 7-inch, 325-pound offensive lineman transferred to OU from TCU ahead of last season. Guyton plays the right tackle spot on the OU O-line. With QB Dillon Gabriel being a left-handed passer, Guyton has the primary responsibility of guarding the QB’s blind side and keeping him clean. He played 400 snaps a year ago and allowed just two sacks and no quarterback hits in 191 pass plays by the OU offense.

Guyton is a mammoth of a man, and he plays with incredible power and strength as well a quickness for a player his size, wrote StormininNorman co-expert Brandon Self earlier this summer.

In an interview recently with the OU Daily, the student newspaper, offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh said Guyton “has all the ability in the world” and is “one of the most talented guys I have ever seen.” And Bedenbaugh has seen and coached some outstanding offensive linemen come through OU and watched them go on to careers in the NFL.
