Rocky was a two-time consensus All-American, the first of his kind on this list. He was a reliable source of consistency and dominance in the Sooner’s defenses of the early-2000s.

Rocky played at OU from 1998-2001, where he cemented a defensive legacy that competes with the offensive legacies of Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. He was not only a fan favorite but also a dominant middle linebacker.

Rocky won the 2001 Butkus Award for being the nation’s top linebacker. He was a crucial factor in the Sooners’ 2000 national championship run.

The two-time Big 12 defensive player of the year deserves to be in the Hall of Fame this year. It should be a consensus decision by the committee, just like his two consensus All-American selections were.
