Oklahoma Football: What does the ideal 8-game SEC schedule look like for OU in 2024?

The SEC version of the Red River Rivalry will see the Sooners as the home team. So technically, this is a home conference game.

I have not heard any consistent rumors that this game will move to AT&T Stadium from the old Cotton Bowl, but it would be the SEC’s decision. I could see the conference wanting the game to stay neutral but moving to a more revenue-generating location. For now, though, it remains at the Texas State Fair.

This game is always huge, and it will continue to be. I’d rank it in the SEC’s top two rivalry games alongside the Iron Bowl (Bama vs. Auburn). Also, it’s the Sooner’s third ‘pod’ game. The SEC will have the Sooners and Longhorns rivalry be one that is played every year. They understand the importance and history of this rivalry.
